SUMMARY:Folds of Glory Appeal
DESCRIPTION:Folds of Glory Appeal is an annual event for COA which kicks-off Memorial Day weekend and will run through Flag Day. The period from May 25 to June 14 is always special for Americans\, but 2026 has more significance as we celebrate America’s 250th! COA is moving forward with site renovations at McManimon Hall\, our new location\, which will include our Warrior Down and Fr Vincent R Capodanno Veterans Therapeutics programs. No donation is too small and we appreciate your continued support. \nFlag Day is coming on June 14th and most Americans have seen the traditional folding of the American flag\, at specific events\, such as funerals. Have you ever wondered why Old Glory is folded that specific way? Much more than just pomp and circumstance\, each of the 13 folds holds special meaning. \nThe portion of the flag denoting honor is the canton of blue containing the stars representing states our veterans served in uniform. The field of blue dresses from left to right and is inverted only when draped as a funeral cloth over the casket of a veteran who has served our country honorably in uniform. In the U.S. Armed Forces\, at the ceremony of retreat\, the flag is lowered\, folded in a triangle and kept under watch throughout the night as a tribute to our nation’s honored dead. SUMMARY:2026 Chris Kline Memorial Game
DESCRIPTION:August 15\, 2026 at 6pm: Chris Kline Memorial Game – Catch It! \nTrenton Thunder vs Frederick Keys 6:00pm at Trenton Thunder Ballpark\nAddiction Awareness Night Exhibit opens at 4:30pm \nChris Kline was an accomplished pitcher\, but an even better catcher when he played with City of Angels. A lifelong baseball standout\, he was the starting catcher for Notre Dame High School and played on both their 2013 and 2015 Mercer County Championship teams. Chris joined the Angels for the 2016 baseball season as we built the team for its eventual 2018 Championship. \nDue to his youthfulness\, he became known as “Baby Chris”\, though he commanded the respect of the senior players because of his leadership behind the plate. Chris earned a full-ride to Lehigh University after graduating high school. \nTragically\, Chris suffered from mental illness compounded by substance use disorder which eventually claimed his life on June 12\, 2021. The Christopher Kline Memorial Game and Annual Addiction Awareness Night at the Trenton Thunder are held in Chris’ memory.

It is a great venue\, but Mercer Oaks is not a big venue so tickets are limited! Yes\, this is a “dress-to-impress” affair\, but you are encouraged to bring your lucky pitching wedge\, best cornhole toss and your favorite cigar cutter because this isn’t your father’s gala anymore! \nIf you attended our 2025 Gala we want you back and we promise all the fun\, food and refreshments that you enjoyed and more.
